In the 30 years of being an inspector I could tell you there is no such thing as a perfect house, but I would rather tell you exactly what trouble areas need to be shored up to make it the perfect house. What makes your inspections so trustworthy compared to everyone else?

Many home inspection companies conduct an inspection in two hours or less. It is my opinion that this cannot be done or at least cannot be done to the detail which a competently performed Home Inspection deserves and requires. Our average inspection time is 4 hours. Time on site helps to ensure thoroughness.

 

All of the professional associations develop inspection standards that an inspector must meet. I will be the first to tell you that these standards are weak (i.e. and in some cases embarrassing). Let me give you an example; home inspectors are not required to walk on the roof and in fact, many don’t. Do you believe that inspecting a roof from the ground level is as thorough as inspecting it by walking upon it? At Home Check, we will far exceed industry standards.
